People make and sell metal prints all the time, they ship them flat. It may be new to sideshow but it's not new to prints at all.

I love that video and all that art.

I always hesitate about commissions because I have no clue about rates.

What would in expect to get for $250? $500? $1000?

if you hit deviant art and really look around at artists, most range about 150-300. problem is everyone only wants the top names when there is tons of great artists out there looking for a chance, just have to take a gamble and contact them is all.

ya some may flake out but some can deliver better then expected cause they want that exposure. i got a few on my list i want to commission i found on DA for when i have the cash to do so.

then i can just get some more metal prints done if they are only digital art but there is a few who can do traditional as well.

and i got my metal prints done here

I came across SF bc I only collected original art and commissions, the art section of this forum has a lot of great people who can help point you in the right direction. And can tell you who to avoid/frequent.

Rates will vary by artist and by what you want done. Color, size, level of detail can alter a price. You just have to have a value in mind and stick to it.

I also highly recommend looking at Comic Art Fans. It’s where lots of people post up the art they own and you can see whose styles you like. Commissions are a blast! I’ve cut down on commission the last few years (been buying more statues), but I’ve gotten very lucky and gotten pieces by a few of my heavy hitter faves.

Great advice! Also, thanks for the link to the metal prints. What type of metal print did you pick for your PowerGirl?

Looks like they don't have the Air Jordan license for the Miles print.

Is there protocol on paying? All on back end or half up front? I'd hate to be scammed out of money if someone loses interest in the middle of the process.

I think the PG colors were glossy or white need to check, and the BW one was the silver

they have a option for color correcting so you get the best colors but i think that was a charge of like $70+ so i didn't go that route. Cause i think they do a test print and then from there see how to change up the colors for the final.
