Does Bobby still do these as a private commission?

theres no way a manufacturing company could replicate that at all, so i would have no interest. The Silicone version is untouchable, but if Bobby wants to lower his price to what HCG would charge, then im all in . Im sure Bobby could sculpt it pretty good, but it wouldnt have the liveliness that the silicone version has.

Perhaps i'm not down for this after all.

As much as I'd LOVE To see this bust done I'd have to agree with mitch. During the transition to production piece it would just lose too much of the realism that makes bob's bust so great. add to that the inevitable crappy factory paint job and it doesn't seem so appealing, unfortunately.

Way to slap us back down to reality! Lol! You guys are right, what makes these pieces special are the materials Bobby uses for the fan made busts vs. what HCG would have to do for a commercial run. Silicone, glass eyes, screen accurate clothing, acrylic teeth, human hair wig ... no way we see something like that come out of a box.

Debatable.
To even try to replicate what was done with the original the factory spec would have to be set VERY high: Top tier paint app, glass/acrylic eyes, acrylic teeth (inlaid dentures or veneers) & fabric clothing.
Such measures would probably bring production pieces to the $900 to $1k range.
The thing that would absolutely kill this piece is sculpted hair. That doo just does not work unless it's punched.

The original bald version was a resin run (the sculpted hair version came way later). I know because I used to own #2 ...
The biggest regret I have in this hobby was selling it but it went to Jason Shaw, a huge horror buff. This came to me cast in a gray resin with seperate teeth and a silicone tongue. The eyes on the one above were painted and the wig and beard stubble glued on.
I'm not sure when Bobby started doing these in silicone but I'm almost positive it was before he released the resin sculpted hair version.
