suggested next CM statue

I think CM's next statue should be Optimus Prime and Megatron. ...and NO, this should not be the new version but the 80's version in robot mode.

If they were ever able to get this done, I'd also like to see the statues have some voicing like how the Vader statue has James Earl Jones. It would be cool if the Optimus Prime statue said, "Transform and roll out" using Peter Cullen's voice. It could also say, "One shall stand and one shall fall." For Megatron, I'd like it to say, "Retreat! Retreat! Retreat!"

They only do iconic characters from films.

They're iconic and they're from films. Remember in 1986, they released Transformers: The Movie.

While technically true, it's an animated film. To date, CM hasn't shown any interest in cartoon characters and I don't believe they ever will.

I hear you on that but Optimus Prime is defintely a very iconic character. I mean they even have a Transformers convention to celebrate the toys. To my knowledge, they don't have that for Aliens, Predator, or Batman.

I think at some point CM will have to expand their horizons because they're only so many inconic "film" characters they can do before running out of grade A characters and then moving to grade B characters. I hope we don't see something like the Scream ghost killer but I wouldn't mind seeing Jason Vorhees. That would actually be another awesome character. Or how about Pinhead? Or the upside-down spider head from The Thing?

Given their release schedule of one figure every two to three years, we'll all be dead before they run out of iconic film characters.

Haa!Haa!Haa! That is quite true. Maybe they'll speed it up a little.

Anyways, I'm just offering a suggested character that I would love to own. It may be an animated character but really, what's the difference between an animated character and a character from a movie. They're all made up and fictional. The T-800 from Terminator was a stop action puppet. Optimus Prime was drawn. Either way, they had to be brought to "life" by a creative team.

Also, part of becoming an iconic character is the story or movie that built them up and I believe that Optimus Prime has a great story just as the T-800 had a great story behind the character.

I'm just telling it the way I believe CM feels. They have focused on traditional film characters. I personally have no interest in cartoon characters from CM, so I'd vote "no thanks" on this one. I am interested in the Creature CM and would love to see more classic monsters from them, but whatever they choose to do next, I'll be looking forward to seeing it.
