LOL. Denver is the Shire of the real world! I live where there is some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Love it here.

I think the thing that amazes me about the US is the variation in lanscapes. There are just some fantastic looking places

From my office I can see 3 fourteeners. Pikes Peak, Mount Evans, and Longs Peak. The Rocky Mountains are just a short 20 minute ride.

That sounds like a great place to work

The coast is about 2 hours from us and dales are about an hour and a half.

So nothing too close

You know, I was thinking about it, but on the first day, we flew in, rented a car a split immediately. We stayed Thursday night in Blackhawk ,CO and by the time we got in, it was already getting late. The next day was filled with a trip to Georgetown and traveling back home, so I just did not have time to visit with anyone, unfortunately.

I do plan on going back to the Denver/Blackhawk area maybe next year. When I do, I'll be sure to look you up and throw back a beer or three with ya.

Absolutely true! There is so much to see here in the USA. I hope to be able to enjoy much more of it in my lifetime.

I asked what was wrong and she basically said that was because one of the bears was a female in heat and the other two were probably males looking to hook up. Apparently, a VERY dangerous situation... especially for knuckleheads like me who were down the hill taking pictures.

I would have liked to, but besides the fact that she lives 1200 miles away, she was too busy trying to get everyone back in their vehicles... I wish I would have at least gotten a picture of her. Oh well! LOL
