That put her on board a bit quick. She quickly realized that it wasnt just a dumb hobby but it was indeed something that was adding value and worth to us.

It might seem far fetched but there is more value in the statues we collect than a car that loses value the minute it is pulled off of the car lot.
I used the same argument, but that argument doesn't apply for LSF with open ES, the value will only go in one direction which is going down. It seems you don't have any LSF in your collection. Do you think your wife would support you if you buy LSF with 2K price tag and no ES? I know my wife would not be so happy with that lol

My wife isn't impressed. You only MAKE the money if you SELL the statue and she knows that happens once in a blue moon . . .

My GF is supportive but that doesn't keep her from making a quip every now and then about how much I spend, how much space it takes up and/or how important it is to me.

For those of you that don't have supportive significant others, make sure you don't let them watch Easy Virtue.

I'd say mine's supportive.. she loves how much pleasure i get out of it.
That said she's miffed about the space my collection is occupying.. and my annoying habbit of leaving books and comics all around the house .. ( hey 2 shelves aren't enough !! )
Also, she's worried about the savings.. I'd say i'm spending arnd 700 odd a month on this hobby.. Too much?? dunno..
