The original concept of this was going to be much grander. My memory of Uncanny X-Men 112-113 was them fighting, surrounded by lava, with Cyclops' eyebeams bouncing off a magnetic shield around Magneto. Flipping back through the books it wasn't quite what I remembered so I went with something smaller.
This is also another attempt to try to get a widescreen "film" look. Still don't think I have it yet but, maybe a little closer.
