Hmm, now that I see it, I think I probably would prefer it without the red paint. It was a memorable look, but doesn't really represent how she appeared in most of the movie. And she's also cuter without it too.

So I noticed on the product page for this on the Queen Studios website, they use some interesting wording
Quote:
Creating Alita Battle Angel collectibles comes with some pressure. The 2019 movie received mixed reviews from critics. But many fans (Queen Studios’ included) absolutely loved it. So much so, the movie has its own army. The #AlitaArmy!
We know the pressure is on, because Alita fans a serious and devoted (as are we with our art). The Alita Battle Angel collection by Queen Studios represents some of our finest work, and hopefully the finest Alita Collectibles available anywhere in the world!
|
They use the term collectibles (plural) and are (or at least they were) thinking of this bust as part of a collection.
Would love to see QS offer more Alita pieces in the future. So far no one else has put out an Alita that has come close to matching the impact of this bust for me. Queen nailed the portrait, even with slight imperfections and room for improvement.

That’s correct. They have plans for making more in different scales. As far as I know there’s a 1:1 lifesize doll body in the making. 🤩

Plans can change, but I'm happy to hear they've been at least planning to offer more stuff in the future.

Yeah, that’s right, plans can change. A life size Alita could be very expensive and not easy to find room to display her. I’d be very happy for a 1:2 scale, both doll and berserker body!! 🤩

I actually like the bloodpaint below her eyes, has anyone heard anything on when this is going to be shipping?

Good question. Mine still says October 2020....but that isn't happening. I think Queen said Q4 2020, but doubt that too.
Optimistically think it may be here by April.

I asked and is now tentatively "Spring 2021" for her to arrive. At this point I'd take Summer as a win.
