Nice base, but looks nothing like Stallone, and this is the proto. Maybe thats why he's looking down, so it won't be as obvious that it looks nothing like Stallone, lol. A wasted opportunity in my opinion.

Why is HCG releasing a second flag shorts Rocky statue? It would have been nice if they did a Rocky street clothes statue from Rocky 1. Rocky 1 and Rocky II fight gear would've been great.

Anyone notice that the championship belt themed base is the same as the Sideshow Rocky bust base?

They did the bust too. Sideshow just distributed it.

As for Rocky, I like this one but am worried about the actual paint job....

Thanks, I have the bust, but forgot HCG did it.

I really think the sculpture, Edinho Maga, has very little creative freedom when it comes to what he makes for HCG, it just seems that doing statues from Rocky I, and Rocky II is a know brainer , but for what ever reason knowbody wants to make collectibles from those films, and those are the iconic classic Rocky films. Hot Toys did the same thing and released Rocky figures from Rocky III and Rocky IV.

I guess asking for collectibles for Rocky I and Rocky II is just going to be wishful thinking.

Anyone have any opinions on why nothing for R1 and RII has ever been produced?

I think the companies leans towards rocky 3 and up morebeacuse of slys build. I think they'd rather sculpt a rippd chiseled rocky than the stallone of rocky one and two with a very average build....not as dynamic looking.

Just because they say it's Rocky, and has the shorts and gloves like Rocky, and even says on the base it's Rocky, doesn't mean it is Rocky.

No chance in hell I'd buy this. For me if you do a likeness based on a real person, you better bring it or get out.

Cant see what all the fuss is about, looks good to me, need more pictures to get a good look at the likness but so far so good. People were knocking their rambo 4 statue not to long ago and now peolpe like so who knows.
