Personally, I think this is one of the most unique lines of statues I have ever seen in the statue market and 5+ years from now, for those that have really gone all in with this line and purchased most of these pieces...well, those people are going to have one beautiful collection of Court of the Dead statues.

I really like how the design exemplifies death without Mr Death himself showing up. The vulture-like design with the helmet on the ground, amidst all the mess; It really feels like the aftermath of a huge battle with the vultures eating the dead.

My first impression of this guy was that while he was cool and unique, he was a little too weird for me personally.
The more I look at him though, the more I love him, and he is almost certainly a must buy now.
My only worry now is the build itself, I'm seriously worried about the weight of his body on those skinny legs of his.

Wish I had the space for any more COTD pieces. If I had a bigger house (and I'm guessing a bigger wallet), I would buy it...I really dig the trinkets...and the overall Dark Crystal aspect on this.
Wouldn't display it without the mask, though....

That is why I like the smaller COTD pieces.
They will be easier on my pocket and easier to display.
I still want to get favorites in the larger scale though.

I've decided if this is under $500, I'm using all my points to get it. I'm holding back on other Sideshow pieces just for this one. I'm half expecting $600+ though and I'll be crushed all over again as I was with Xiall.

I thought they had made an announcement about this piece and I got excited.
