Black Cat Retro/Classic
Well after months of putting it off I finally bit the bullet and bought one of my all time favorite statues: Black Cat Retro. This is one of the best pieces I have ever seen and certainly a feather in the hat of Diamond Select. I also have fond memories of reading those old Peter Parker Sensational Spiderman comics which featured Black Cat (issues about 74-100 or so) As a rule I try not to venture outside of lines I have chosen to collect in order to maintain some continuity and I rarely purchase any Diamond piece but this one just stood out. If you are on the fence about this piece I would recommend it before it goes the way of other Clayburn Moore Sculpts (IE. Aphrodite ix) and gets expensive. It also looks great with other Bowen statues if you collect those. Now onto the Modern Version...sigh....

Yeah, I second Iacon's vote on this. The Retro BC is a great statue, and it should be a part of a FS-enthusiast's collection. I've had mine since it originally hit the stores. While the base makes it taller than most of the Bowen FSs, it displays nicely behind the pair of Bowen standing Spideys (red and symbiote). She juuust fits into a Detolf display case's middle shelf. My biggest fear with the Retro BC is the fur-lined cuffs' material or glue deteriorating; though it seems to be doing OK so far.
If you're patient with eBay, you'll see both BC statues pop up for under $100 each (I just scored a Modern BC for $97 shipped), so good luck with the hunt.
As to be expected another excellent statue from Clayburn Moore!

I'll never get another Black cat statue because this one is just perfect. No need to every try, in my opinion.
Fur is sexier!

I went with the new look. I'd like both but can't justify the expense.

I have both & they're great! Clay did a superb job on these and they're part of a VERY small # of DST products that I have. There is no fence here to be on. Only the inevitable!
