Avoid Shelby Robertson

I'm hearing he takes folks money and doesn't deliver and doesn't respond. I'd avoid him folks. Bad news.

Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

That sucks. I bought some commissions from him years ago and didn't have any trouble.

at least one person I know paid and has been waiting months and has received no response -- others didn't pay so while they too get radio silence, at least they are not out money -- BEWARE!

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

From memory there's another old thread about him that has a heap of disgruntled members singing the same song

I commissioned him long time ago. Good thing I paid deposit to his art rep and not him directly.
Got my refund.

I got a piece from him a few years ago. No problem except the art was "meh". I did see an inked version of my commission pop up a few months ago on eBay, I guess artists can do that. Whatever.

I had bought a piece from him on ebay a few years ago and then contacted him for a commission shortly after. It was one of the best commission experiences I had. I'm sure there are many good and bad stories out there for many artists.
