Did she reach "preservation stage" in this one? I remember reading an interview with Scarlett Johanssen in which she said she did "Under the Skin", and it's nude scenes after historically avoiding them, when she realized that her body had reached it's pinnacle and the realities of aging would be setting in.

What can I say, I really enjoyed this film. Probably more than most will given it's straightforward approach and slower pace. I'm a sucker for Sci-Fi though and this film checked a lot of the boxes I require to have an enjoyable experience. Great effects, solid acting and an interesting premise. It's not anything terribly innovative but what it does, it does well.

Glad to see a positive review. Been meaning to check this one out.

Without getting into spoiler territory I can see how someone might come to those conclusions, though I'd disagree with the analogy myself. Had the roles been reversed in the film, and they easily could've been, the story would've essentially been the same and you wouldn't hear any parallels such as that being drawn.

Well, I agree that you wouldn't hear those parallels being drawn, but I still think that'd be a difficult 'Romance' to get behind.
Still though, good film.

Logan - 8/10
Easily the best depiction of Wolverine to date. It's truly a shame it took this long to fully nail the essence of the character down on film. There have been glimpses in a few of the X-Men films and I'm actually one of those that thought The Wolverine was a good movie outside the third act, but being R rated is what really makes the biggest difference in capturing his ferocity and the brutality of what he does best. I was mildly disappointed in The Reavers as I feel they could've been developed and fleshed out better. Overall a really satisfying and emotional film though.

At 26 years old, I think JLaw is certainly in fine shape and shows no sign of aging yet.
