Just when I think Liefeld cannot do any worse.
This appears at my LCS this week. Pretty sure I threw up in my mouth a little just looking at it. Needless to say I did not get this cover of Thor. Sorry to share the misery. There is so much wrong with this image I couldn't help but share it.

Yeah, sometimes I'm shocked at the variance in art quality in comics or between covers.
The sad thing is I think Liefeld can draw some things well, this feels rushed to me.

Nearly every artist declines with age, it is just a fact. Liefield isn't old but he's past his prime and has been on the decline for years.
That said as much as they are a pun to the hobby inkers/inks can make HUGE differences in final comic art. For many of my favorite comic pencilers they are not my favorite inkers of even their own art.
it's a bit of a trend to rag on Liefield. I get it and can see a lot "wrong" with his stuff but the same can be said for nearly all comic art. And Liefield has turned in classic images for ages, he's earned his stripes and cred.

When someone says Leifeld, that Captain America drawing with weird anatomy pops up in my mind. That thing is hilarious.
The problem in this drawing is where Leifeld drew the smoking hot pistol on Thor, i believe... HA HA !

This isn't even close to being as bad as his Captain America. If anything he's improved.

Listen, the man gives us what we want. He knows we want some hot flaming dumpster fire of a cover to laugh at and the man never disappoints. I appreciate his commitment to his craft. #footlessforlife
