Sad news.

He did a great job on Man on Fire and Crimson Tide is a movie that I have some fun attachments to (though the premise is entirely fiction). Rest in Peace, Tony.

I feel terrible for his family, such a loss. Famous person or anonymous it has to be the worst feeling to lose someone this way.

I feel stupid for saying this but I honestly never knew he was Ridleys brother.

sad news
he will be missed by millions

Never been a big fan but always enjoyed his films to some extent. Now that I think about it for the style of films he made he did them better and more consistent than most.

Sad. Left a wife and two young kids.

Man on Fire is one of my top film favorites of all time. The type of movie a Punisher film should look up to aspire to be.

Agreed. I've been saying that since first seeing it and repeating it whenever possible. Best revenge film ever made IMO. It amazes me that it hasn't been used as a template for a Punisher film as it nails all the key elements of the character.

Bummer! I loved Top Gun... Almost made me want to join the Navy when I was a kid. He had a very nice catalog of films that I enjoyed.

RIP
