Batman (1989) 6/10
Nicholson and that horrid Prince soundtrack ruin this movie for me.

Batman returns 8/10
Infinitely better in every way. The weakest part is Walken, and even he is more tolerable than Nicholson.

Meeting Evil 8/10

Samuel L Jackson as psycho killer and Luke Wilson as candy-assed loser husband, is anybody better for these roles than these guys? Could have had a better ending but all in all a good movie.

Spider Baby (1964, but released in 1968) - 7/10

Another of my annual Halloween viewings, this is a very strange low budget indie film starring Lon Chaney Jr., and it's one of Sid Haig's earliest film appearances (yes, he was bald even then). A dilapidated mansion is inhabited by the three surviving children of the Merrye family - all of whom suffer from a form of mental regression - and their caretaker. Some "normal" distant relatives show up with a legal claim to the estate... little do they know what they're getting into, and all hell breaks loose.

I love it. It's definitely a cult classic and should be seen at least once.

Batman

I felt like watching it again after the Sideshow reveal. This time around I kept noticing parallels to Beetlejuice that I never noticed as a kid. It's a timeless classic which is something Nolan's Batverse will likely never become.

8/10

Chained 8/10

A different take on a serial killer movie with an unexpected ending. Liked it a lot even though I normally hate anything with Denoffrio in it.
