I usually don't have an issue when sculptors do this. I've seen plenty of busts with angled cuts to give it a more modern/graphic design type look. Though this cut feels a little odd. I don't like that they left part of the bicep under the shoulder muscle. Lakes look less clean.

I see the angle cut they were going after in this pic. Looks cleaner in this angle.

I'm actually liking the sculpt on this. Sorta wish they made it a full statue in 1/4 scale.

Looks like he's been sliced with a laser, expecting to see his insides exposed on the back shot like they did with the deadpool bust. Two arms on hips, chest out hero pose like the Bowen Herc bust and they would have had my money, but unfortunately Lightsaber victim Supes is a pass.

Borrow money from a pessimist, they don't expect it back.

I think that could look pretty cool.
Now that would look awesome. This would be way too expensive but if they were painted to look like rock from his base it would be perfection.

Why does SS knock one out of the park (WW bust) then drop a bowling ball on their foot (Superman bust)? Really hoping if they do a Batman bust he’ll have two arms.

Yikes. That really looks goofy when you see the whole thing. Why take the most iconic Superman pose and cut out part of it? The art direction for this piece missed the mark by not including both arms.

Technically, we can't call that a bust. Maybe a half a torso...

Portrait is very Sideshow-esque. That is, it looks acceptable and has a familiar style to longtime Sideshow collectors, but to an outsider, there are better options out there.

The cut is more unsettling because he's doing a hand on hips pose. It makes you want to look for his other arm.
