I agree. It is your collection after all.

One thing I can say though, is that having a central theme always helps. Also, I mix statues from different companies in my display, but I try to maintain a homogeneous pattern. Action pieces with action pieces, museum pieces with museum pieces and so on.

I'd say the same as @jpsarri. I keep my statues grouped by series and also by material (all my anime figures are on a separate shelf from my large polystone statues).

IMO, it is ok to mix statues if you are focusing on one character. So if you have a particular fondness for Batman, it is totally cool to mix 1/4 scale, 1/6 scale, props, museum/action pieces.

For me, mixing up your collection is okay. It may not make sense with other people but as long as you're happy with your display, that shouldn't matter really.

It helps to have a central theme, like JP said, but if you love how a statue looks or if you love a character then it shouldn't matter if they do not fit in your collection. Make them stand-alone pieces.

Generally if I pair statues together it's because they have a relation to one another thematically. With smaller scale pieces such as these I love building diorama's as it makes for one impressive display.
