Supergirl PF Statue Reception
Alright, so, a lot has been said about the Supergirl Premium Format statue. Some are ok with it, others aren't. They're quite a lot, I'm just curious what the reception would look like as a poll... Care to leave a vote?

That's not the Supergirl that pops into my head whenever I hear or see the name "Supergirl"....if that makes sense.
Oh and I still say Streaky the Supercat should be sold separately! I need that cat!

The statue looked great in person. Nothing for me to complain about.

That's not the Supergirl that pops into my head either .... what was anyone thinking at the time
Also way is she saluting with her left hand ?
For some reason most of the time Sideshow seems to screw up the pieces that are most anticipated by fans .... I don't get it

Just curious, is there a celebrity or a real person that pops in yer head when the name "Supergirl" is written or mentioned? Care to share a picture of yer ideal Supergirl?

I like it, the sculpt is great and the face doesn't bother me at all, its just the salute is what bothers me. i just don't see SG in a fly salute pose is all, maybe more of a hovering pose with her arms out would fit her more.
Or even in a fly pose smiling as she is, but holding wreckage from a car or building or something. more of a she just got done beating down a bad guy or flying away from a fight.

Like the Batgirl, I would have preferred a different, more heroic looking pose. This looks more like a "buy war bonds" ad from a magazine published in 1941. There are times when I wonder if the creative team at SS thinks itself far more clever than it actually is. I doubt that this is what fans have been asking for in a Supergirl statue. While this may be a good enough piece to buy, I can't help but feel like this was a missed opportunity to hit it out of the park.
I'm starting to think that I'm a minority voice as female statues continue to be largely presented in Barbie-like or Victoria Secret model type poses. To be fair, Sideshow certainly isn't unique in this regard. It would be nice to see more heroic action-type poses with superhero women. While I certainly don't mind some sexy, I feel something is lost when the piece is either largely-sexy or largely-cutesy. These women aren't beating bad guys solely on their big smiles and cleavage.

I was thinking something more like this:
It has just the right balance.
