choosing a dog name...

So the wife and I are getting a puppy in late november.

I want a name that is comic related but isnt overly obvious to non-fans.

although we havent chosen a gender (waiting to see the puppies that will be born at the breeder next week), we're still trying to figure out a name

for male we were thinking Clark (Kent)

female...we have no ideas so far. Only one I came up with was Chloe (Smallville)

Any suggestions for names? Doesnt have to only be Supes related. 2 syllables max for the name suggestion

and the wife already turned down Batman so thats out

Our goldens are mystique, jubilee, and domino. We have had vegas and tribbles. I want to use storm for our next golden but the wife isnt that hot on it. We have thought of echo and blink.

We will be getting a puppy eventually and have shortlisted Ripley. Just sharing it to add to your list of names to consider.

Ripley suits both male and female dogs IMO.

We used to have a dog named Sprite (RIP, she was a great dog. 1981-1992). I named her after Kitty Pryde of course and you have a few people who thought it was because of the soft drink but most of our friends and family liked the name.

Other comic related names? How about:

One of my favorite dogs was a yellow lab I had named Balder. I liked the idea that it was a comic book name that most people didn't know was a comic book name.

I've also had a greyhound that I called Kal (short for Kal-El, of course).

Works on both ...most will think you named it after the Motorcycle.

Balder might be good for a Chihuahua.
