Rock Band and Guitar Hero

Are the Instruments for each game compatible with the other game?

For example can I pop in GH: World Tour and play it with the Rock Band instruments and so forth?

I want to pick one of the band in a box items up but want to play both games.

Any help would be much appreciated!

They sure are mate! I have every release on every platform of the Guitar Hero series, and recently picked up the first two Rock Band releases. They are compatible with all the GH accessories

BUT is the reverse true...?

Can you necessarily play the GH games with RB instruments? ( I ask as the RB set is cheaper online)

That one I can't help with as I only have the GH instruments. I would think it stands to reason though.....?

what system do u use??

You need to buy a small adapter piece for the guitar to make ps2 and ps3 compatible. Ebay has plenty of them

Rockband drums only have 4 drums and a foot pedal where as Guitar Hero drums have 5 drums and a foot pedal.

I think that if you play GH with the RB drums then it adjusts the notes that you get accordingly but you essentially don't get the whole GH drum experience.
