New Stikfas/ sculpted custom.

Hi all, I didn't know where to put this so I figured I'd place this here with the other Stikfas posts. I bit of history about me. I never sculpted anything before I got into making Stikfas ( late 2002 ) customs, I've always liked statues and busts but never thought I had the skill to craft any. When Stikfas came out they were the perfect canvas for me, I could make whoever I wanted and express myself however I wanted. The clay I started to work with ( and still do ) is called PaperClay, Its not bad for small things but dries quick. I've always wanted to try Sculpey but was scared to, I'm not sure why I just was, until last week. I've had an Idea for a squid custom for some time but knew PaperClay would not work, I could not get the tentacles right. So I went to the store and picked up some Super Sculpey. You guys are the first ones seeing this custom, I'll be happy to answer any ??? you have.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...MGSsquid12.jpg The figure on the left is the first phase, the one on the right is the second phase, the pre beak is not pictured here.

I have more pics if any want to see more.

I had to boil the Sculpey in the microwave as I didn't know if the plastic from the Stikfas would melt. I had a few accidents with my squid head, a couple of times the tendrils broke and the head broke when I dropped it. I feel it came out good, and some day I hope to try my hand at a real sculpture. I admire all of you who post some real beautiful busts and statues in the Sculptors Corner. I may not say so but I do, you guys and gals are truly gifted. Enough of my rambling.

Larry...

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.
