I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Just got a chance to unbox mine and the paint is pretty freaking awful. The most egregious section is on her torso. It has spots on it where they tried to cover up chunks of blue in the yellow section and it looks terrible. The mask lines are bad, the triangle inserts are all messed up. Her claws are all nicked up, and the base has spots all over it. It's really bad overall. I mean I guess for $40, I can't complain too much. Oh, wait, yes I can.

You get what you pay for. Saw this at my lcs and I think it’s great for the price.

I've seen a few of these and the paint job is very hit or miss. Some have been good and tempted me to buy but then I see one with a bad paint job and I can't believe they're trying to sell it.

I would say only buy if you see it in person first. If you get a bad one, it's really bad.

That's where mine is from. I drew a short straw.

For $40.... These are great. These aren't premium formats. Even though the yellow has quite a few messy spots on it, that I can see when I hold it up to my face. If you put it in a display and look at it from a normal distance, she looks great. Remember....$40, not $560. If you are comparing these to bishoujos, remember bishoujos are over double the price. And, these are larger.

If it were just the messy lines/seams, that would be one thing. However, the multiple cover up spots where they slopped blue paint into the abdomen area and just covered it up, is another. It doesn't show in the photos well enough, but in person they are visible from a distance, and has a visible texture where the edges of the yellow cover up spots are. It's not just about it being $40, it's about the quality being piss poor overall. (The gouges in mine's claws is frustrating too.) I've seen action figures that are half the price of this with far better paint quality, so I don't think it's fair to assume everyone is expecting "$560" piece quality (and I think we all know that even in that range the paint can still suck.)
