Day 4 - Witches!

I love them. They look spectacular on a comic cover because they're usually plopped in the middle of some gothic or archetypal/horror-soaked scene. DC, through their fantastic horror comics of the 60's & 70's really took advantage of witches; using them a lot.

Here's a quick tip for your October Horror Comic Reading Fun - When you settle down on the sofa to read your horror stacks, try a little accompanying music to set the mood. I mostly play two bands while reading my horror -

Midnight Syndicate is a gothic-themed horror mood band which goes perfectly with reading -

Nox Arcana is an equally engaging Gothic/Horror band which also has some amazing Winter music & even records that delve into a Sword & Sorcery vibe -

Both of these bands walk hand-in-hand with Horror Comics reading.
