DC or Marvel...which is the better license to date?

Since Ssc got the DC license a few years back, I've been noticing a big shift in my excitement for DC even though I am a marvel fan.

This is especially over female sculpts (sorry Supergirl doesn't count here). The sculpts are more sexier then Marvel especially with the likes of recent releases of Powergirl and Wonder Woman. I'm not sure if Disney had a play on some of the final output but its not the same... something missing...

We had many great DC stuff coming out and more to come....huntress & bane.

The other factor is the Marvel Disney & Fox restrictions therefore lacking on statues we truly wanted noticeably Juggernault, Magneto and other Xmen & Fantasic Four comic characters that have yet seen the light.

Both licenses have there downfall though...

DC...batman...batman...Catwoman...batman...joker...batman...Catwoman...more batman.

Marvel...hulk...iron man...hulk... Spiderman...hulk...and more hulk...

But we have other license like COTD that surpass both DC & Marvel any day of the week.

I can't speak to which sculpts are sexier because I think that kind of ---- is boring (with the exception of Ivy, as it's essentially a weapon for her), I'm a much bigger fan of female characters where their looks aren't a primary trait lol. But yeah DC has had some phenomenal pieces: Batman, Superman and Joker, all of which had great QC, aside from Superman's lean, but that's fixed with proper pads on the base. We also have Bane to look forward to in the future, which looks to be turning out amazing.

I'm really looking forward to DP's release though, I'll PO the PF day one and I might even pick up the bust depending on other releases/pricing.

I think DC has better bases and marvel more dynamic poses, however with this SDCC2016 i'm quite more excited for their DC stuff.

Dark Phoenix owns all....MARVEL

I just wish they would revisit some duds...
New Rogue, Psylocke, Emma

I think the DC line is consistently strong.

I don't get the poll options.....mostly the comments after the licensed company.

releases for both licenses have been pretty damn solid especially in the last couple years, hard to pick one over the other

I think they're both great, but right now I'm buying way more from DC. I also think the DC live action pieces (Iron Man excluded) look much better than the Marvel ones.

There are some truly exceptional, stand-out Marvel pieces, but the line is more inconsistent as a whole with lots of duds. DC also has its stand-outs, but the line benefits from Sideshow learning from past mistakes (mixing up scales/eras/artists) and refining certain techniques (particularly in the mixed media department). So for me as a whole, DC gets the nod due to consistency, but it's good times if you're a fan of either or both.
