I know XM loves their switchouts. If there's a switch out portrait with the red eye tattoo, that would be great. Butterfly telekinesis would be cool as well.

mm... didn't really like any of the Psylocke portraits from SS...
XM just needs to:
- Pick a famous Japanese model for inspiration who has a bad ass look instead of a hello kitty look
- Or perhaps pick a Japanese actress who has been casted in TV/movies with weapons since film casters already have a long criteria for such looks
- Example for both: Meisa Kuroki (Google Images)
- Then do the usual Psylocke body
- Usual base creativity from XM
- Done...

The closest any company has ever come to creating a great Jim Lee Psylocke was Kotobukiya with the DRS line. But the hair was still off, the sash was odd looking, the boots were a bit too simple, and her eyes were too big.

In a lot of Lee’s psylocke art her facial structure is depicted closer to a Euro woman, the original portrait (wider jaw as you describe) than an asian one
I think its a common misconception that psylocke was 100% japanese, In comics she’s mixed DNA of betsy braddock (british woman) and kwannon (japanese) then their minds swapped.
Granted, its generally accepted that she’s purely japanese but if were being (technical) comic accurate) she is and should look eurasian, SS original portrait.

If XM or anybody was to do a spot on Lee 90s Psylocke she would look as botched in the face as the current SS one does. Some portraits don’t translate well to statue. Jim did not really give her face any definition in the cheeks or nose. That would look flat and strange on a statue.
If you look at Jim’s more honed pencils of Psylocke as he draws her these days, he actually draws her exactly like the SS original portrait. Square strong jaw, flowing hair, high cheekbones.
I’ve never understood the obsession with Lee’s Psylocke face bc IMO it was the least completely drawn of any of his characters. Almost like he didn’t know how to draw her. Slamming body, fun character, great costume...just incomplete face. He does a much better drawing of her presently than he ever did in the comic.

If it’s even possible to do an exact Jim Lee 90s face, if any company really did pull it off I bet NOBODY would even like it. I agree it’s really not a face that translates well to a statue.
And I know Jim Lee made the version of Psylocke that most know and love but as a comic character PLENTY of people have drawn Psylocke in that costume. Why does a Psylocke statue have to recreate Jim Lee’s art style at all? Beyond Psylocke, it’s an overall Jim Lee obsession among statue collectors.
A Psylcocke statue should just have a pretty, Japanese face, and even that’s debatable.
She’s a white woman in the comics yet again...and later this year Psylocke won’t even be Betsy anymore, she’ll fully be Kwannon.
