Not at all. I buy these for display and collection purposes, to geek out over them and to read them in their entirety. They look great on the shelf, especially on the same shelf as statues of the same characters.

Okay then. When I saw the excuse to not get an omnibus if the lot of individual books was cheaper, I thought, well, what if I already have the books? You can't get much cheaper than $0. Being new to omnibus collecting, I thought I was doing it wrong.

Nope, I do the same thing. That said I stopped collecting single issues years ago.

Nope ominbus makes it easier than pulling out each issue from its bag ect. I do it all the time. Omnibus rules you get the whole story in one great big package

Don't get me wrong - I have omnibus of books I own individually - including the Hulk and Infinity Gauntlet Omni - but certain collections, in my opinion, don't qualify for the premium prices these books command.

You are not alone... It's not Marvel but i did the same thing for Geoff John's JSA Omnibuses. I have the single issues, i have the TPBs and now, i have the Omnibueses of his JSA. Triple Dip... xD

I can't wait for the Hickman Avengers Omnibus.

I just checked out bookdepository and just 25 days left before its release, i'm so excited ! It will arrive instocktrades even earlier. Probably at July 1 and i will be there to get it. It will have the infinity event and everything It will be so awesome to read all the build up to infinity and infinity itself in all of its glory. I hope the second Omnibus will collect The Secret Wars, if that happens, i will be one happy camper. I have never read Hickman before, but he gets such high praises that i'm so hyped about the omnibus. I wish Marvel reprinted his FF Omnibus vol. 1, i really want that too.
