SS now charges taxes in USA (outside of California)

In case you were unaware.

I live in Canada and used to have my stuff shipped to the US to take advantage of free shipping etc.

So this really sucks. One statue left on pre-order and I am done ordering direct.

Yup. and so does eBay now, and on USED stuff! can you imagine that? paying tax on used crap that's already been taxed at least once

The states are coming after every penny.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Yup! Prices going up, shipping going up, and now taxes. I now get taxed as well on ebay so there goes that route.

I'm really moving towards just buying my statues second hand for a cheaper cost on FB even if it means I have to wait a little longer.

I mean I get that people in general don't want to pay tax and haven't been on the internet for a while on many purchases.....but that was never going to last. The internet was not going to be a relatively tax free zone on purchases forever. So even if there is some place where you know right now that they don't charge tax, it's not going to last.

Wow, that will cut down the secondary market even more if eBay is doing it. Before it was just sellers gettin the 8% stick but now buyers will get it too. Wonderful.

Yep, really unfortunate though it's not Sideshow's fault.

It can add quite a lot to the statues cost. I checked in my state on the P1 Batman Who Laughs and it adds like another $90 to the cost.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Between the price increases, shipping increases, now tax, far and few in between codes, I'm definitely going to be waaaaaay more choosey about what I get.

Not that many years ago you could get nearly every PF under $500 shipped. Now most are going to be creeping up close to, reaching, or going past $700 shipped.

if you go to a goodwill or antique store or thrift store they charge tax too on previously used items. It’s no different.
