I don't see the point to show a piece with this unique water effect that every one agrees is totally awesome and makes this piece on a higher level and then said...Ooh guys sorry we can't reproduce it...think first then show the piece not the opposite...

Indeed it will be a challenge for the factory but I'm sure that XM has painted the proto knowing that the factory would be able to reproduce it!

The factory should be able to do it. Just depends on how much XM wanna spend on it with piece price already set and deposit dropped. Not much room to play with.

I hope you're right. I've got this on PO and I don't think this is a trivial effect for the factory to pull off with 1000 pieces painted by 100 different painters. This is a cool effect IF it's pulled off, otherwise it could be a big disappointment if not done to top quality. fingers crossed

If only Namor came with this type of water effect.....
The disappointment there was tempered by the fact that the prototype was always dry. For Weapon X they have showcased the water effect at an event where they are taking preorders. It would be making a mockery of the "subject to change" get out clause.
If the factory cannot replicate the water effect, then XM shouldn't have shown it. Hopefully they don't disappoint.

Water effect is an absolute must. XM would only pull it if the community didn't like it, there's no way they'd have shown it with such a significant feature if they remotely thought it couldn't be reproduced. That would be really dumb, and this company is proving more and more that dumb is something they ain't!

If this piece doesn't have the water effect, I will still buy it. I'm already too deep anyway because I pre ordered it and there is no going back but I would be very disappointed if it didn't have the water effect after showing it. I think XM knows better. They wouldn't show something they aren't confident in producing.
