discoloured coin

My XM Magneto on throne coin has totally discoloured?!
it has been behind a uv protected acrylic case. I have no idea what happened. I just filled out the form on XM's website and will wait for them to reply. Anyone have a problem with any coins?
Does anyone know someone that fixes these?

cheap coin? (shrug)

it does suck though.... if it's not in direct sunlight it shouldn't discolor like that..

Sunlight has nothing to do with it, just air is needed. Happend to every silver piece like that.

Silver by colour but it's probably just copper and nickel.

Encase it in plastic if you want to slow down the process. And never touch it with bare hands.

If it’s silver, just polish it with a polishing cloth. Any jewelry store has one.

My Phoenix coin has a giant scratch that was like that when it shipped, so I never even display mine.

I cleaned with silver cleaner and it turned out great. Took forever, but the end result is perfect. Thanks everyone. Didn't realize it but my plastic capsule did not close very well compared my others... just ordered a new one on amazon

So basically it was not XMs fault but you filled out a form and send to them asking for replacement before figuring it out.

It happens. People do that all on the time on these forums. Next time, the OP will come ask the group first - then work thru it.
