Well a strange thing happen the 2 weeks ago. My LCS go to sets of the Fantastic Four statues. Something I was not really interested in, but i really like Sue Storm. The owner said he was going to ship them back, and was waiting for a confirmation for pick up.

I went to my LCS yesterday and they still had the statues, so I told the owner I really like Sue and what was the cheapest he could sale them to me for. After a few minutes of walking around he came back and sad I could have the set for $300. So I pulled the trigger.

The only disappointment was that the Human Torch fire is not attached to his hand and that there is a note that says to use glue. But what if I need to repack it for a move? Gluing something to his hand would make it impossible to put him back in the box. I did manage to balance the flame on his hand. I think this statue should have had a removable hand with the flame. But other than that I really like this set, and since I don't have Thing I put them with my She-Hulk.

I may try to find these cheap somewhere somehow. This has been the biggest disappointment of this phase. Sue is pretty good (not great), but Johnny and Reed just don't work for me. If I got them cheap I'd probably get to a customizer and start getting them reworked, fixing the lean and shoulders on Reed and giving him more stretchy powers, and resculpting the face on Johnny. But even then not sure if that would work. I really liked where Jason Smith was going with the digisculpts, and most folks on the boards preferred them, so not sure why that direction was scrapped. Right now I'm just holding out for either a new modern set next phase, or Sideshow to announce FF PFs/comiquettes. I stopped gluing pieces on statues since the Thor bust helmet wings. Black Cat's gems are in the bag. BD should start using strong magnets.

Is She-Hulk that comparatively small or is it just the distance from the camera and height of base? I know Bowen has her more in the 5'10- 6' range as opposed to 6'7"-7', but she should still be much bigger than Sue.

She-Hulk's base is smaller than the other bases. That is why she looks smaller. If she was on the same base as Sue then they would be the same size.

That size difference with She-Hulk is very aggravating. but Id never get that set anyway. I do wish theyd get busy with a flamed transluscent Torch though.

Here are my newest arrivals...

I needed a Hawkeye in my collection..went to my LCS and checked out the newest Bowen version and was a little dissappointed. I came across the 1st Bowen Hawkeye on ebay and got it for the same price as the new one is going for anfd couldnt be happier with it!!

Scored the Giant Man for under $250....

soon i'll get up the "guts" to show my growing collection.

Got these in this week. Taskmaster now trumps my favorite statue I own (Beta Ray Bill is still a close second). Only one peeve with the Black Widow, her eyes are off from the actual picture on the box but the still work (at least they aren't cross-eyed). So here are some pics. First time uploading anything.

I wish that Black Widow had a better base. The one Bowen used is so very boring.
