First 4 Figures Mega Man X Zero Statue

Hey all, rather than unearth the old Zero page I'm going to start a new one like the new Mega Man X Final Weapon page. To remind you how old that page was I've included some pictures of F4F's original attempt at Zero that swiftly got cancelled. That said I got their new one yesterday and he's really good.

Zero comes in a clamshell, color box, brown box and a brown shipper. This is my first F4F piece without the foam corners and inserts. Instead, they included eight black plastic corner feet for the brown shipper. I guess it's to reduce the size of the box to help with the shipping increases. Not defending it but be aware this might be the norm going forward.

I did order both red and black versions thinking maybe I'd replace my HMO red or keep this black. That's not going to happen. HMO's is still too good, and I feel I'd regret keeping F4F's black over their red, so I sent him back which also means no pictures of that color.

Paint app and design are good. He looks like Zero unlike the old version where he looks like he's having trouble passing stool. I like the action pose and both switch outs are nice. Yes, there's a lot going on with the base. Yes, the light up on this piece is insane. There is solid and a flashing pattern like Mega Man 11's base. If the lightup is needed is subjective but I do enjoy the lightups on F4F pieces much more than other companies. See Bowsers flame and Richter's holy water. Zero also comes with a rechargeable battery and USB charger cord.

I would highly recommend this piece if you're a MMX fan but if you own the HMO Zero, the X-Plus Zero figure or any of the Kotobukiya Zero models I think you'll be okay sticking with those. I can't recommend this piece enough but if you've been sitting on the fence because of those other Zero's, it's not the end of the world. The other consideration is if you get the definitive edition you're locked into that look. You can remove Sigma's scythe but there will be two glaring holes in the front of the piece. The exclusive and standard are waitlisted all over the place so if you're going to jump do it soon. I'll be getting Final Weapon X definitive so there will be pictures when I receive him. I'm going to leave a video that I used for assembly that shows off the lightup much better than my pictures and what he looks like next to other F4F pieces.

The light-ups really make it and it looks really sharp for polystone.
