Your paint looks better than mine.

Thanks Thorondor!

@clutch: Well, the statue photographs really well. I used the light from the lamp in the ceiling and an exposure time of 25 seconds @ 100 ISO f/16. It helped accentuate the fine details of the sculpt.

I took an IQ test and the results were negative.

Incredible photos Robban, do you have them in high res? Your camera makes it look better than the prototype.

But to me still doesn't look like a $500-$600 piece.

It certainly looks better than the 1993 Kenner, but we're talking about an almost 25 year old action figure.

Once you get it in your hand, it feels and looks like a 550$ piece.

Thanks ultrazilla. Photobucket seem to downsize the images for some reason?

The prototype is very much superior to my statue. Make sure it's lit from above. It helps bring out the details.

I'm posting a close up below.

left arm bent in?!

Hello Everyone!

My first post here. My first piece EVER... from anywhere. I could not wait to receive my Rexy since pre-ordering about a year ago.

Well she came today, #67 and she looks amazing, I love the paint which has been the debated issue with her production and outcome.

WELL - After setting up my fence and getting ready to take some pictures. I noticed something and started fixating on her left arm. Please see my pics I have posted and compare. Is my #67's arm bent in, is this incorrect? I have tried to look at other pics and I'm pretty sure my arm is much more inward and under her than others and now I'm fixated on it and is ruining it. It looks quite bad when ALL I see is that now. If anyone can take similar pics for comparison, I can judge if this is worth being fussy about, or should I get over it. If other pieces are similar I will definitely have an easier time being okay with this. If it's not... well...

Thanks,
DJ

That's how they are. I was concerned about mine too, but after researching it thats how they are. T rex arms are tucked anyway it, so I'm ok with it.

Finally, after a long hunt I've managed to grab the second Lindberg 4 door Ford Explorer 1/20 scale. Before that, I've found original wheels as junkyard parts on Ebay, but I also had to buy one of the 2 doors model. So, now I have all the parts to combine them. Yeah, it costed me total of $100 for all the models and parts, but it was worth. It would hurt my soul to watch everyday for the rest of my life at my Breakout Rex and imagining how he would look with the Explorers, so I've strongly decided to go with diorama. Now I need to get my Rex, he is at my friend in New York, he will bring it to me when he comes for a visit, I've decided to do it that way so I could avoid crazy shipping quote.
