I don’t think so. The name is simply to differentiate this Thor PF from previous ones. Same thing with Red Sonja. “Queen of Scavengers” is way cooler than Red Sonja PF #3, but it was priced similar to other PFs offered at the same time.

This looks great and I'm a HUGE fan of Ribic's art. This piece captures Ribic's style beautifully. Fantastic job by Daniel Bel. This is the first sideshow piece he's done that I can say I truly like. Since I have the modern Thor PF and love it, I'll be passing on this Thor. That said, everyone involved in this PF did wonderful work.

This Thor looks great BUT...

Really, another retread when there are still so many characters Sideshow has yet to make in 1/4 scale? I understand why they do it ($) but it is frustrating as a long time collector.

Green Arrow was done to perfection and my excitement for that character far outweighs that one because IT WAS A CHARACTER THEY'VE NEVER DONE BEFORE.

Again, this Thor looks great though so if you need a Thor, they have delivered. I just don't need one.

I totally get what you're saying, but so far they have actually revealed a bunch of characters they've never done before:

Mr. Freeze
Cable
Juggernaut
Green Arrow
Doomsday

Yes, it is true they are making SOME new ones. And Green Arrow for me was an instant order. I guess I'm just bummed we still don't have a Flash, Nightwing, Dr. Strange, Robin, Martian Manhunter, Doc Ock, Penguin, Scarecrow, Black Manta, etc. BUT we now have the 5th(!) Thor statue (if you include the 2 movie versions).
