It's too bad about Gothamite. I always found her/his(?) posts useful, and we don't have any too much activity on these boards. Whenever I see board members getting into it, I just scroll past. I have no dog in the fight, I just want to talk about statues. Hopefully things will work out for all involved.

Sorry to hear Gothie was banned again. I know some of his/her posts/comments are direct and can be taken in a bad way, but was always nice to me. Even when we had disagreements about stuff it always worked itself out. Gothie always said outloud what what more than a few of us were thinking about some of the posts here. LOL

But as a rule, I never talk politics on a forum or at work. It never ends well.

My thoughts as well. Gothie could be snarky or sarcastic at times, but it's nowhere near the vitriol or outright ill intent I see from a few other members posting in some of these threads.

In the past I've been an ally and a critic of Gothamite. Differences aside, I consider Gothamite more of a positive than a negative presence, overall, in the forum. As far as the gender mystery is concerned, after ambiguous statements from the source and conflicting labels from mods and forum members, I simply just stopped speculating.
