I’m a bit confused on that, I thought to have the Rex with the explorer you’d have to buy the whole diorama?, personally I just want the Rex with the up turned explorer

If they didn´t change anything, the diorama will be sold in 2 different pieces. So if you want to buy only the T-Rex with the explorer, you can buy just the "set A".
This is what Iron Studios stated last december:

I´m really considering a Jurassic Park piece, since I love the movies. Definitely won´t get the whole diorama, but I´m thinking about getting this one or the version that comes with the T-Rex stepping on the Explorer, it had a huge presence at CCXP. And to better give an idea of it´s size:
