I'll echo what others mentioned and agree the pose looks great head on. I like how you can tell there's depth to it.

I must be in the minority, but I'd rather see the side of the statue that shows the greatest surface area. IMO, the head on view hides the dynamic element of this piece.

It’s a problem I have with Rogue as well, the front view displays the least surface area but the side view she is facing a different way to the rest of the line but is better for showing the detail of the statue - actually most photos I’ve seen on here of people’s Rogues have been using the side view.

I might. lol. I'm not a big Xmen fan but I like the character designs. I'm still debating between the Sideshow and XM Gambit. There are pros and cons to both pieces for me.

Personally I think it obliterates the XM version. From portrait to pose to art style.

I do too, and it's pretty much half the price.

I don't think so at all. Especially when consider the reg portrait for the Sideshow Gambit. I'd never display that.

Maybe for people in the US. For people who live internationally, the difference in cost is only a couple of hundred dollars. Cost doesn't have a bearing on my decision. I go with which is the better statue.

For sure I think the EX head is the star of the show but I sort of like the regular one. I like how different the hair is and gives the illusion of Gambit jumping or landing.
When I get mine on Friday I'll play around with how I want him displayed. My guess is front forward with a slight tilt to the side like in the production pictures.

Both are cool . Considering XM had their design out first I see too many similarities in SS version . The dynamic pose almost hides a lot of Gambit in sideshows where the vertical stretch in XM shows more but makes the piece quite large . Pros and Cons to both . I’d have to see pics of both in group shots with other Xmen to make definite choice .
