Once i have seen part 1 and part 2, and made more sense of it all, i will revisit the Lynch movie and see it possibly in a new light.

Bob Marley: One Love (2024) - The story of how reggae icon Bob Marley overcame adversity, and the journey behind his revolutionary music.

This is a lot like the Freddy Mercury biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody--a mediocre film that nevertheless is a hit with the general public. 6/10

Spaceman - 6/10

Slight spoilers, but moreso just PSA: movie really has nothing to do with space (disappointing to me). The setting is really just an excuse for relationship introspection. Make of that what you will...

Your explanation is precisely why I wasn't planning to watch it, just looked melancholy and annoying

Really enjoyed this movie, watched it twice. It's a 9 out of 10 for me.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023)
4/10

It took 1hr 20mins to reach a moment that ignited my interest (a house fire).
I fell asleep momentarily twice during the first 1hr+
The script came across as generic. 95% of the movie appears to be CGI.
The movie is sprinkled with classic tracks, which is always a safe bet. The type of tracks they have gone for would suit Guardians of the Galaxy perfectly. Each time a classic track kicked in, i would think back to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

Jason Momoa is decent enough.
Nicole Kidman appears briefly from time to time, and whenever she does, she brings to the movie a much needed lift, as she is AAA talent.
Amber Heard shows up from time to time, and does a fair job. She looks like she put on a little weight compared to her 1st outing.

I am someone who is not against CGI. It can work well if done right. When a movie relies on heavy use of CGI, it can come across as souless.
Each time a CGI battle broke out, i felt nothing. As with Eternals, i felt not much for the CGI enemies.

Deadpool 2 is good example of how to do CGI battles well. When CGI Juggernaut showed up at the end for a battle,
the rest of the cast were real, as was the location (Cable was CGI also).

I prefered the 1st Aquaman movie.

Godzilla Minus One has ruined 95% CGI movies for me. Give me practical effects.

You mentioned that Amber Heard appeared to have put on some weight since the first movie. I thought the same about Momoa. Remember how women went crazy for the first movie, going to showing in groups? He never had his shirt off in the sequel, and I think there's a reason. Not as ripped as in the first movie.

Momoa trained hard for the 1st movie. I have no idea if he trained for the 2nd movie? ..he must have done some training?
I did wonder if he was wearing a suit to beef up his muscles?

He looked a bit soft when he hosted SNL to promote the movie.
