Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

$1500 for something that is not working properly?

How much does it sell for regularly?

Personally, no I wouldn't.

One, because the light not working would bother me. And two, because you can still often find them for going for less than that on the 'bay.

I haven't been watching for a while, so maybe things have changed, but back when I was most were going in the low $1000 range, occasionally up to about $1200. And according to Dekind above they seem to be barely making the $1000 mark last he looked, so yeah, I'd pass at that price and in that condition. For a regular version anyway. A little patience and you could do better elsewhere.

Your call though.

$1500 seems too much. More so, if the electronics are failing.

$1500 is a lot of coin for something that isn't working propery.

That said, a limited run of 2000 of these in existence, how long are the lights on these likely to last? A few more years and there won't be any remaining with working lights.

Nope. I'd never buy a defective anything. If I break it or it quits working after I buy it, that I can live with. But to knowingly buy a defective collectible, not me.
