More so I wanted to replicate some of the lighting in their promo vid.which looks to be a combination of side and background lighting

OTOH, it also came across extremely well in the Monsterplaooza booth vid- and there it's under bright, omni-directional large venue lighting.
Mostly I'm just very curious how it will hold up under different lighting conditions.
I was also thinking of doing a backdrop with black velvet and flo paint (or maybe bas relief) and hitting that with a black light. It would be a lot easier to use a black light in back of the statue, where the actual light assembly is obscured, than in front shining down on it.
The opportunity for creativity with lighting or adding a backdrop is the main reason I kept the order in as I was very close o cancelling it several times over the last couple months.
BTW, I found out last year that the problem with a black light flashlight is that it creates a sharply defined spotlight effect.
If you try to diffuse that by moving it back, it's likely to just lose all effectiveness , unless you are viewing it in an otherwise pitch black room.
