I am always impressed by sculptors who can leave a sculpt 'rough' but still have it look finished. Just beautiful. Great work, William!

The hard thing about doing this kind of work is having the self-control to stop when the work is truly done. After fifteen plus years of essentially creating nothing but clean, "finished" sculptures, the only way I could force myself to stop was to literally set a timer on how long I would work. When the time was up the pieces were complete. I wanted to portray the power of the heroes, and the details(including things like symmetry) were secondary.

Great fun that re-sparked my creative juices and reminded why I love sculpture so dearly.

WOW!!! Those look AWESOME!
I love the character of the rough flesh out on both of these busts, really works well for that bronze look/finish.
