Well, I own this piece and would definitely disagree. Sure she is the rarest of the maquettes but IMO she is also the nicest and Padme is far from being my favorite character from the cartoon series. The way the fur on her coat is incoporated into the sculpt really sets this one apart from the rest. Maybe I'm in the minority but I never factor in secondary market value and low production #'s into how I evaluate a piece's quality.

SW expanded universe items come out in such small quantities because they don't believe that there is a market for them(like the EU Hasbro figures that came out a few years ago). As more people find out about them the more they jump in value.
I still don't know why this piece goes for so much money, when it came out I had no problem ordering it off SWshop.
