I do agree would have loved new sculpts, but I did order them. Be great if I.A., PCS would make each piece I want from TMNT, Joes, TF I would buy them right now and get out this hobby. 2 decades in this hobby has been long enough. At least I.A. and PCS now have made these characters, can move on to others. Blitzwing, Astrotrain, Coneheads or at least Thrust

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

You guys seriously don’t see any issues with the way they paint those? That the light reflections are literally painted on the statue.

It looks so bad.

How is forcing the cel-shading effect any different than sculpted hair /clothing in your typical 1/4 scale statue? In anything scaled, realistic lighting always presents a challenge to anyone who isn't a pro.

Obviously, these are not for everyone, but it's the most direct method to convey the G1 feel right out of the box - which to many who grew up with the cartoon, have a strong emotional attachment to the characters. A vac-metallized effect would be missing the point entirely.

Check out the Manga Dimensions Dragon Ball stuff from Banpresto, same thing.

I'm not a fan of transformers really so I wouldn't get them anyway but yeah I think the cel-shaded effect looks awesome if they can pull it off o_0

also plain g1 designs are pretty boring :| personally I'd prefer updated g1 designs like xm are doing they look amazing, but if I was interested in vanilla g1 I think PCS design is the way to go.
