Yep, it seems that lots of cartoon studio's quality went down the crapper in the 60's. Probably in an effort to keep up with the "crank-em-out" style of Hanna Barbera.

I do really miss the Bugs Bunny cartoons of the 40's though. Back when he was a trouble-making b@stard with a Brooklyn accent

True dat. And all the "adult" oriented humor that went over kids heads.. good stuff.

My girls 4 and 6 watch Bugs and Daffy with me on Boomerang, and this past weekend they were watching a dvd that my dad had with Popeye and Felix the Cat cartoons on it.
Yes they also like Baby Looney Tunes and, Krypto the Superdog, Ben 10, Teen Titans, and yes Tom and Jerry(old and new). But its what you subject them too.

If you want your kids to know good cartoons...get them some!!!
I have 2 of the Classic LooneyTunes Golden Collection dvd box sets and my kids love them...
What's Boomerang? I have cablevision, is it on there?

And why should I have to go out and buy these cartoons? When I was a kid I could come home from school and turn on channel 5 or 11 and see them for free.

I miss the classics.

But I miss Invader Zim quite a bit.

Gone too soon. Poor little Gir.
