Better then T2 in my opinion for many reasons.
Less whining, no "my pal" the Terminator, machines acting like machines again, Connor grows up, accepts responsibility, everyone accepts their fate. I never liked the T1000, the whole pure liquid metal crap was over the top for me. They finally did it, the blew it up! Nukes finally fly and what has to happen happens. No changing fate.

I'd also thank Battlestar and Lost for chumming the waters.

Wow, I really don't know what to say.
More power to you for enjoying what is generally considered a crappy film.
Hell, I love plenty of movies people consider rubbish.

I agree as I also, never liked the T-1000 not being a machine. The T-X was more machine with its endoskeleton, But I really missed the opening sequence happening in the future in T-2 with the laser sounds.
Regarding this serie...... Terminator is Arnold (and Franco Columbu), so....

Actually, my two other buds dug it more then T2 as well.
And we were all there in the theater in 84 for the first one, old school fans.
So I dont think "generally considered rubbish" is accurate at all.
It rates 71% at Rotten Tomatoes
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/term..._the_machines/
That is very far from rubbish territory.
Less popular sure, Ill agree with that.
