Odd, I think $1k + for a statue is nuts. Yet so many here have no problem forking over those asking prices.

Art is indeed subjective. I think if its worth it to you personally that is all that matters in the end.

Nothing odd about it. Everyone has different taste and opinions on what something is worth.

Thanks all

I will agree, it is alot of money but then if you do a bit of hunting and haggling I think you can get a better deal (I did )

TBH, I'd much rather spend $1000 on one of these prints than on most statues or busts. But it is all very subjective. These prints just seem to evoke alot more passion and enthusiasm in me than most other 'collectibles' so I don't mind spending the $$ on them.

Nothing wrong with spending your money on what you want. I don't even want to begin to say what I paid for some of my comic art.

Thanks for the sweet closeups Nidgit this thing has so much detail it's easy to overlook unless you see it all through a magnifying glass, just amazing. It's great you were able to acquire this, since most of us can't add it to our collection it's nice to be able to live through you vicariously

Thanks OB. I'm sure we will all have more Akira pics to admire soon enough.

An interesting interview with Tyler Stout about the development of Akira.
