I generally feel this way about a lot of things.

Why do people have an opinion about who other people love or have sexual relationships with, why do people so vociferously try and force their opinions on others about childcare, or money, or ideologies or religion.

The world in general would be a much better place if everyone just got on with their own lives IMO.

But yeah, you're right, WW was a good film to me. If it empowered females the world over and gave them something to cheer, then great, just more people in the world happy. If Black Panther meant that Black people world wide took some joy in a predominantly black cast, then great. It takes a special sort of douchebag to be unhappy about other's happiness.

I really enjoyed the first 2/3rds of the movie but felt it drifted in the final act. I also enjoyed the toned back humour which was not as evident in this one. 7.5/10

cgi and green screen scenes were obvious at times, social / political commentary was a little heavy handed but other than that i enjoyed it quite a bit

killmonger was a cool villain but some of the lines at the end of the movie seemed a little clunky

the single shot fight scene in the casino and car chase were pretty cool

My review of Black Panther: Awesome effects and fight scenes but I go to watch comic movies to escape modern day political issues, not to be reminded of them. Bring on the purple alien with magic stones.

Yeah nothing I like batter in my comic movies than social messages, slapstick humor, and endless jokes. Marvels movies are all there!

Agreed.

I also thought they should have focused more on T'Challa, y'know, the Black Panther...the title character? He was the one I was interested in, and I felt like he was treated more like a supporting character at times in this film.

Black Panther

Political Satire and social commentary have always been an intrinsical part of comics. A movie based on comic book characters should not be any different. Black Panther manages this with the outmost elegance. First and foremost, it is a celebration of Africa and its people. But also an introspective view of the world beyond continental and/or national borders. It is a film fixated in finding out solutions, rather than pointing fingers. In today's political and social climate, that is a welcome sight.

The best part of the film was its cast. Each character added a level of emotional gravitas. Killmonger is one of the best villains of the MCU period. A misguided but relatable figure. The music score was simply superb. Clearly, this film is one of the best directed films of the Marvel Studios franchise. A real contender with enough depth and weight to be considered award worthy.

Unfortunately, the movie was not without its flaws. For me, the most glaring was the fact that Don McGregor was briefly thanked while the late Billy Graham was not even mentioned in the end credits. The movie clearly took inspiration from their "Panther's Rage" arc. One of the most underrated but best crafted stories of the 70's. Considered by many the first serialized Marvel graphic novel, way before the term was even used.

In the end, Black Panther is a well crafted and well balanced film. It is not perfect by any means, but it is definitely a must watch for any Marvel or any comic book fan. It is one of those movies that will resonate with the audience even after the credits roll. For me, that's enough reason to tip my hat off.
