Haven’t seen it yet but if you want a movie based on comic book characters then fine, leave the social commentary in but take out the hokey slap stick comedy and endless jokes. I haven’t seen that in a comic book for years (unless it’s a duck tales book).

The hokey slap stick comedy and endless jokes were taken out of Black Panther.

Did anyone see the film in 3D? I saw it in IMAX 2D and some of the CG looked a little “clunky,” especially the rhinos and the climatic fight sequence. I wonder if it looked better in 3D? Regardless, an enjoyable time in which I may have placed the film at the top of Marvel films if the climatic fight sequence was staged better.

One weird overriding observation I had was that Angela Bassett would have killed as Ororo back in the day. Even at her current age, she felt and looked more like Ororo than what we’ve seen in the X-Men films.

Not sure why lip disc man was attired like The Riddler.

Finally a serious Marvel movie again! Loved it. Great movie and a good score too. Thumbs up.

Yeah, Panter didn't have many jokes and i liked that. Even if i'm a big fan of The Guardians of The Galaxy films. But i believe they shouldn't make every Marvel film like The GoTG, that would probably eventually even make me complain, so Black Panther is a welcomed change for me too.

I like funny movies and I love GotG, it's my favorite of all the Marvel movies, but I'm glad they didn't go that route on this movie.

I still gotta get there. Dolby was sold out so I decided to wait. Glad to see that most really liked it.

I like funny movies too. Maybe the guys writing the new Star Wars trilogy will go that route.
