The earlier concept base is so much better than what they have now. It even flows better with Silk and Gwen. They should've stuck with that one.

Indeed. That would have been a day 1 purchase, instead of a 'never purchase'.
This 'base' was easily the worst of Sideshow's WTF decisions.

Wow, that discarded Spidey concept is about 100x better than what they decided to produce.
I can say without a doubt, had they done that version of Spidey, I would have ordered him and Spider-Gwen. I hate the look of what Sideshow is releasing. It looks like he's standing on top of a waffle cone.

This series feels like it's spoiled by the titular hero's mess of a base. Even the Mark Brooks promo video mostly ignores the bottom half of the waffle cone (Good one, NorthernLadMSP).
Definitely a statue to be placed below eye level for that reason.
