New fluorescent light bulbs...
These new light bulbs they are promoting...and they say will be "required" so to speak...Will they damage art prints like regular fluorescent tubes...?...

I do not know, but don't break them. The clean-up is not fun. They have mercury in them.

The light bulbs are actually more friendly to skin and paper..
While being much more energy efficient.
Now, I only have the inset big inhoused bulbs for kitchen ceiling because they are cooler. You would have to throw those against the ground hard to break.

From personal and professional experience as a former Custom Framer/Framing Manager and Artist the new bulbs are much better. The old bulbs from back in the day were not so good. In the frame shop we had a few issues especially with them being only 1-2 feet from our heads (low cieling and floor incline) and 4 feet from the art we were framing. But after changing them there was a huge difference and much less headaches. The color seemed to change a bit too. More bright yet not as strong or blinding. Parents installed new long ones in the kitchen and the color difference is huge. As far as the screw in bulb ones go they are safe as well.
