I gotta admire your enthusiasm!
As AWESOME as the idea would be to come to fruition with ALIENS-2, I think the concept and the actor's ages taken into account, will leave this premise on the shelf for good.
That being said, I HOPE Convenant turns out to be a decent film.

They look like they wouldn't last 5 min. This looks like a group that would essentially be livestock for the xenomorphs. Which may not be a bad thing.

Watching the prologue film now.
Why is it that in Prometheus and now Covenant, the space ship crew has to be the most incompetent and insubordinate group of astronauts ever assembled?
No doubt, David is just waiting for the first opportunity to use them as his own personal science experiment.
Fassbender is so good at being a cold as nails android.

I don't understand the concerns regarding Franco. I get his personality and the persona he often brings to his comedic roles isn't for everyone, but he clearly isn't going to be that guy in this role. So why the fuss?

What about Kenny Powers a.k.a McBride? Main pilot is my guess. Franco can pull off semi-serious role at minimum.
